QuickPark “Red ‘n Green”

It’s time to stop driving around in circles… Nowadays, your quality of life is measured not only by the type of car you drive, but also by your ability to quickly and efficiently find a parking space in a crowded garage.

QuickPark, MetalPress Smart Solutions’ smart parking system, reduces the amount of time you have to spend looking for parking by 40% and, as a result, decreases pollution in parking garages. The system monitors occupancy using ultrasonic detectors, installed above each parking space. Above each parking space are red and green LED lights: As long as the parking space is free, the light remains green. Once the detector senses the presence of a car in the space below it, the light turns from green to red (or blue to red for Accessible parking spaces), indicating that the space is occupied.

Data is transferred in real time to parking signs located throughout the parking garage, and those signs, combined with the red/green lights, enable drivers to immediately see where free spaces are available, without having to drive around in circles. The data is also streamed into a software program and designated server, enabling the operator or owner of the parking garage to see the parking occupancy at any given time, and produce various reports on parking occupancy according to a variety of parameters.

The QuickPark system is capable of dealing with a variety of traffic scenarios:

• Level Counting: A system that can be used to monitor occupancy in any of the parking levels throughout the parking garage.

• Facility Counting: A system that that can be used to monitor occupancy throughout the entire parking garage, as one unit.

• Way Finding: A system that helps to control parking and traffic flow inside and outside cities, by directing drivers to available parking spaces on the street, at airports, at shopping centers, and in other locations.
