Natural smoke release

When a fire breaks out in a closed building, smoke and heat exposure are expected to be the major causes of death and injury. Thus, the obvious immediate response in the event of a fire should be to ensure that smoke and heat are rapidly released through appropriate ventilation systems, and that smoke-free escape routes are available for those trapped in the building.

Natural smoke release takes place through designated vents that exploit the physical upward movement of heat and smoke, directing it to the top of the building and then out.
