Smoke suction system
This system, a component of the stairwell air pressurization system, removes smoke that builds up in the lobby of the building in the event of a fire, enabling people to evacuate into the protected stairwell with minimal smoke inhalation. The system consists of a roof-mounted fan, which sucks air in through a dedicated shaft. The system also has a control panel, located at the entrance to the building, that enables firefighters to control the system as needed.
