Fire & Smoke Dampers

Fire/smoke dampers limit the dispersion of smoke during a fire, and prevent smoke from spreading to other parts of the building. In a fire, these dampers act as a fail-safe system, and they will close even in the event of a power failure, thanks to their unique mechanism of operation. This mechanism, which combines a fuse and spring, uses air pressure to lock the damper and prevent it from opening.

A smart card installed in each fire damper provides an indication of the state of the damper (open or closed), without the need for endless wiring. The smart card can also be programmed to perform routine checks of fire dampers and report existing problems.

All fire/smoke dampers by Metalpress Smart Solutions are certified by the Standards Institute of Israel. Our 5000-series fire dampers are also certified for vertical and horizontal installation, according to the requirements of Israel Standard 1001.
